Ramadan’s Call: Gift a Syrian Family the Comfort of Home

Thirteen years of unfathomable conflict have wreaked havoc on Syria. A brutal war that has split the nation in two and forced millions of innocent people to flee their homes. More than 12 million Syrians fled their homes and loved ones when bombs went off and shooting broke out.

Numerous Syrian families are now without a house and exposed to danger as a result of events beyond their control. They no longer have access to the fundamental safety net that is a home. Put yourself in their shoes for a second and try to picture being uprooted from your home, your neighbourhood, and your community. The destruction is beyond comprehension.

While tents can provide a temporary home for some, they are not ideal because of the close quarters, high risk of flooding, and potential for fire. Under these circumstances, how can a family start over? A true home is essential for a child’s healthy development and growth. No matter how difficult the fight becomes, we must not turn a blind eye to the plight of our Syrian brothers and sisters.

The Road to Rebuilding Syria

A ray of optimism emerges from this terrifying situation. A British international charity called Muslim Aid has been providing aid to people in need for 36 years. They have now launched a new programme to reconstruct Syria, one house at a time.

Their goal is as straightforward as it is profound: to provide Syrian families with the invaluable gift of a secure and respectable home within the boundaries of their own country. Somewhere they can start over, settle down, and build a life they can be proud of.

There is more to a house than meets the eye, and Muslim Aid is cognizant of this. As the foundation of every healthy family, it provides a haven, a sense of belonging, and protection. That’s why they’re organising a fundraising drive to build homes that will revolutionise the charity industry.

Muslim Aid’s steadfast dedication to human dignity and compassion will be demonstrated by every home they construct. Built in secure regions of Syria, these homes will have meticulous planning and construction:

Families will always have access to the power they need since every house will contain solar panels, a rechargeable battery, and an electrical outlet.
In addition to a 1,000-liter water tank, flush toilets, sinks, and washing facilities, they will also receive a lifetime supply of water.
Each home will include two major rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom, giving families plenty of space to thrive, with an area of 49 square metres.
Houses constructed with the cultural values of Syrian communities in mind prioritise privacy and dignity.

But Muslim Aid has bigger dreams than just helping people in their own homes. They are building whole neighbourhoods, replete with mosques, gardens, playgrounds, and public transportation to places like schools, hospitals, and marketplaces. With this all-encompassing strategy, Syrian families will be able to get back to normal, reconstruct their lives, and finally find peace.

A Home for Hope

It is impossible to exaggerate the significance of Muslim Aid’s efforts. Giving Syrian families a place to call home after the horrors of war and displacement is a tremendous help. For the first time in their lives, children will be able to play, learn, and dream in an environment free from violence. A full home for a family in Syria may be constructed with about £3,000.
With just £9,000, three low-income families may have a safe place to call home.
